Infants (3 to 12months)
This is the beginning of an amazing journey for your baby! In addition to lots of cuddling and love, we will guide them through all of their milestones and help them develop their love of learning. This child care road will include lots of play and a focus on gaining knowledge through the five senses. We teach both the infants and toddlers basic sign language and utilize books and music to develop vocabulary. Communication with parents is so important, and we utilize an app called 'Brightwheel' to keep you updated on what your child is doing while they are at our center. It will include information such as feeding times, type/amount of foods eaten, diaper changes, any medications that were administered, and other details about the child's day!
The link below provides State of Illinois child development standards that we guide your infant towards achieving at Life Long Learners:

Here is a small glimpse of the fun stuff we do to assure your children are reaching their developmental goals:
Get on the floor and play with the kiddos! This is the best way to form a strong attachment.
Utilize books to expand vocabulary
Provide activities that encourage the understanding of cause and effect situations (ie. what happens when I drop my cup?)
Expose children to new situations to increase their tolerance of risk taking
Explore difference textures
Use music to increase vocabulary and awareness.
Toddlers (12 to 24 months)
The toddlers are beginning to learn how to participate in organized group activities, such as music, story time, arts and crafts, etc. At our child care center, we learn through purposeful play. The children enjoy hands on activities. We love to get messy!
Here is a small glimpse of the fun stuff we do to assure your children are reaching their developmental goals:

Books to increase vocabulary
Music to develop large muscle control
Focus on social emotional skills
We love to use our hands and get messy!
